WEEKEND GIG IN TWO WEEKS!!
Hi everyone.
Firstly can we just say a massive thank-you to everyone
who made it down to Manchester Lane last Tuesday. It
was awesome to return to our old stomping ground and
sing some new music for you all – it was a long
time coming but I hope you agree, well worth the wait.
Many thanks for all the kind comments that you’ve
sent about our original material. It means a lot. We're
writing furiously to keep our original stuff developing
as we work towards another CD.
Anyway, for those who didn’t make it to Manchester,
we managed to debut a fair number of original songs:
“One Week At A Time”, “Can’t
We Just Be Friends”, “Steal Your Heart”
and “So Glad You’re Here”, and some
new arrangements with “When You Are Old and Grey”
by Tom Lehrer and Weird Al Yankovic’s ultra-geeky
“Melanie”. There were some other Suade originals,
“Miss The Rain”, “Why Won’t
You Stay With Me”, “Singin' In My Underpants”
and “Never Seen My Face Before” which we’ve
had some great feedback from too. We met RoRy’s
new girlfriend (?) and heard some old favourites rejigged
– Big shout-out for Sam and his ‘pooper-busting’
“Who’s Lovin’ You” rendition.
Sunday show at Chapel Off Chapel
If you're not a fan of weeknight shows, you'll be happy
to learn we're putting on something just for you very
soon - a Sunday matinee at one of the best venues in
town... On Sunday May 4th we will be
bringing you all the Suade favourites and even more
new material for an afternoon of true a cappella from
Melbourne’s famous Chapel Off Chapel:

We were a little taken aback when RoRy started
bringing his new girlfriend to rehearsals, but
she turned out to be very sweet - if a bit quiet.
We hope he never lets her down.
