Manchester Lane capacity stretched again...

2005-09-07 - 12:35 a.m.

And here we are at the end of another huge Manchester Lane bonanza. Absolutely knackered.

Thanks a million again to those of you that came out on a Tuesday night to pack the venue to the rafters and give us such a wonderful response. It's quite an honour to have such a crowd to sing for.

For those that weren't there, we finally got around to presenting Ian with a miss America-style sash to recognise all the crap jobs he's picked up since joining the group. We recognised each with a formal-sounding title:

- Team Lead Stage Liaison
- Performance Equipment Monitor
- Team Lead Librarian
- Merchandise Monitor.

He looked a treat. Pictures soon.

We also day-booooed a few new pieces, from SammyQ's "If I ever fall in love again" through the Colonel's "Slice of Heaven" and Ian's first arranging effort, "Always look on the bright side of life," which brought the house down and looks like it might become a bit of a Suade signature tune.

So thanks to those that came along, and for those that didn't, there's always the Empress hotel on the 20th October. And until then, it's heads down bums up for us on the CD project again!

Love
Loz
And the Suade lads.
