Manchester Lane Aftermath
2005-06-29 - 9:09 a.m.
Last night, Suade, those knockabout chaps you all know and love, performed to an absolutely packed house at the prestigious Manchester Lane. The show was our first major gig since the X-Factor finale and put the group back in our natural habitat in front of an intimate live audience. After a slightly delayed start, we dove straight into a smooth first set, highlighting all of our moving ballad tunes. This included a couple of new numbers expertly arranged by Chris "The Colonel" Blain, namely 'More Than Words' and a Robbie Williams 'Swing When You're Winning' Medley. There wasn't a dry eye in the house, i can assure you.. After a short intermission allowing us to slip into something a little more comfortable (namely black shirts instead of white) we headed back up onto that expertly lit stage - thanx Jeff - to liven up the audience with an illustration of our upbeat numbers. This set included all your favs again as well as another new party tune, the 'Grease Megamix' - A Cappella style! Suade would like to thank all the members of the beautiful audience who came along to support us and our interest last night. Many of you were friends, family and partners and we greatly appreciate all the support, patience and love you constantly supply. Our eternal thanks to you all. Yours, on behalf of the Suade boys, Een.
